Rev. Prateek Pillai is the incumbent Presbyter in-charge of the Church of the Epiphany, (CoE) Gurugram and also, Sadhu Sundar Singh Church, Sohna, a unit of CoE, Gurugram. Both the churches are under the Diocese of Delhi, Church of North India (CNI).
As an ordained Presbyter he has ministered in various churches in the Diocese before joining here in April 2024. He earned his first degree in theology, from Bishop’s College, Kolkata, and later earned an advanced theological degree by doing a course and research program, in Old Testament (the Hebrew Bible), at Aizawl Theological College, in Aizawl, Mizoram.
Besides pastoring, he uses his education and skills for writing, training, educating and facilitating learning at various places of lectures and Bible Study that he is invited for. He is interested in sociological study and use of the Scripture with the motto, “being empowered to empower others”, especially those marginalised and in need.
Rev. Prateek is married to a loving wife, Rev. Jyoti who at present works for the National Council of Churches in India, on lien. The family includes a little daughter, septuagenarian mother and father and a younger sister.
